Forgive me while I prioritize marriage equality for a moment: A bill that will make it possible for same-sex couples to legally marry in Maryland may come up for a vote TODAY in the Maryland state legislature. The vote is up in the air—it could go either way—so if you're in Maryland, from Maryland, or have family there, contact your legislators. Calls and emails from current constituents have the most weight, of course, followed by calls from former and possible future constituents. And if you have family there, call them and ask them to contact their state legislators and ask 'em to support HB 438.

You can find your legislator using this handy website. (Created by a Slog reader!) More info about HB 438 here.
