Seattle-based cartoonist's collective The Bureau of Drawers is doing something really neat: They're producing a quarterly comics anthology, which you can download in .CBR or .PDF format from their blog for free.

I haven't read their first issue yet—it just went live today, for crying out loud—but it features a bunch of new (presumably) young local cartoonists, and the stories involve ninjas, fairy tales, bullying, self-abusing puppets, cowgirls, pee, and how much of an insufferable asshole Katherine Heigl is:

This is a great way for new cartoonists to show off their work and get some practice in, and it's conclusive proof that after a few somnambulant years, the Seattle comics scene is back. I would like many more issues of this, please.
