I told you about this last night, but audio has surfaced, and you should listen to Romney tell the story in his own words:

This is an interesting story, to me, because it takes Mitt Romney's dad—a politician who is still, by all accounts, adored in Michigan—and brings him down to Mitt's level. He's telling the mistake-filled story of his own campaign and using his father as a proxy. I get the sense that this story is more for Mitt's own benefit than for the sake of Wisconsin voters: "If Dad can screw up like that, then I must be okay."
