Nashville is down 3-1 in their series against the Phoenix Coyotes. Game four was crushing. Phoenix won 1-0 with a goal that wasn't even shot by any of their players—it just bounced funny when a player from the Preds tried to sweep it away from the net. And then the Preds got the puck into the net later in the game but the goal didn't count because the ref INTENDED to blow the whistle. Such a stupid, stupid rule. UGH.

So now the Preds play game five tonight at 7 pm (PST) and if they lose, they're done. But I'm not ready for them to be out! I'm not ready for Shea Weber to shave his beard! But they already lost two games in Phoenix in this series. And Mike Smith is a brick wall. Winning tonight won't be easy. I'm so nervous.

In other, less whiny, news: The LA Kings swept their series against the St. Louis Blues and the Philly Flyers are down 3-1 in their series against the New Jersey Devils. The New York Rangers and the the Washington Capitals are tied 2-2. And Claude Giroux has been suspended for his hit on Dainius Zubrus, which has caused Goldy to throw a temper tantrum in the office.

Finally: The Phoenix Coyotes, who have been owned by the NHL since 2009 and were one of the teams being thrown around as a possible hockey team for Seattle, may have found a buyer, meaning they will likely stay in Phoenix. Sigh. So not only is their success in the playoffs threatening to eliminate my Nashville Predators, but they're taking away the likelihood of a hockey team in Seattle, too? DAMN YOU, COYOTES!
