  • Yesterday at the White House. What will he say today in Seattle?
President Obama will be in Seattle today for two fundraisers, one featuring an afternoon speech at the Paramount.

A topic that already begged for his comment, but now really begs for his comment:

The continuing fight over gay marriage in Washington State, where—if gay marriage opponents gather enough signatures—we'll be voting this fall on whether to approve or reject our state legislature's historic legalization of same-sex unions.

If Washington State does vote to uphold our new gay marriage law at the polls, we will become the first state ever to embrace same-sex unions through a popular referendum.

So: Will the first president ever to embrace same-sex unions now use his historic affirmation to encourage Washingtonians to do the same?
