For Your Stomach's and/or Liver's Consideration

Posted by on Wed, Jun 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM

So many good food and/or drinking events are happening! You may:

· drink a bunch of rosé (and not feel guilty because it's a benefit)
· learn to make a gluten-free pie (OH MY GOD I AM SO SORRY FOR YOU)
· eat delicious barbecued pig and drink beer at the Corson Building
· learn about prostate cancer via "the universal language of beer"
· eat free food at Intiman
· watch an unannoying vegetarian make some food (and then sample it)...

Here are all the details. Cheers!

At the Corson Building!

I feel especially bad for you if you've cut out gluten for stupid reasons, like it makes your stomach look flatter, and not an actual allergy or insensitivity to it. On the other hand, I guess celiacs have you hypochondriacs to thank for a wider selection of food.

@1 Yep! Thanks for the gluten free everything everywhere, crazy self-denialists/fad dieters!

Love from a person with actual celiac disease

P.S. Please go eat a baguette, for God's holy sake. You only have one life.

What #1 said, plus lay off gluten-free already. You don't even give vegans this much shit. Some of us just like our food to be safe to eat yet still have some variety, y'know?

What's so bad about giving it up for a flatter stomach? I mean, lord knows people diet in all sorts of ways, giving up all sorts of food for a better looking body. Are the gluten-free haters also anti other diets? I gave up gluten because it helps control my Crohn's Disease, and you know I have to admit, my stomach looks fabulous. If it makes you feel/look awesome, I say more power to you.
