The 23rd Gun Murder in Seattle May Have Happened This Morning: A man shot in Belltown was taken to Harborview with life-threatening injuries. Last year, Seattle had 22 homicides, so this puts us on track for a 100 percent increase by year's end. Then again, as Eli has written, compared to other cities Seattle has a relatively low rate of violent crime.
