This was maybe not the best way for Mitt Romney to begin his speech at the NAACP today: "I believe that if you understood who I truly am in my heart, and if it were possible to fully communicate what I believe is in the real, enduring best interest of American—African American families, you would vote for me for president."

I suppose you have to give Romney credit for speaking to the NAACP in the first place, but his condescension certainly didn't help anything. I love his little smile as the booing passes the ten-second mark; that's the look of a man who believes he's smarter than the room he's in.
