Where the hell is he? He is out in the sea. The sky is blue. There's a cloud or two. He is alone, he is going nowhere, he is coming from nowhere. The sea rises and falls. His mind rises and falls. That's all there is: water, sky, some clouds (and even now these have evaporated), and his soft, waterlogged mind. Isn't this poem popular with neuroscientists:

THE BRAIN is wider than the sky,
For, put them side by side,
The one the other will include
With ease, and you beside.

All that's needed is the sea. This mind is also wider than (and in danger of being lost in) the sea.
