Apparently, against all odds, filmmakers have finished their cut of Atlas Shrugged, Part 2 and scheduled it for an October 12 release date. Now you can "demand" Atlas Shrugged, Part 2 "to your town" by filling out a form online. When I did this, I was told that 64 other people "in [my] area" have demanded Atlas Shrugged, Part 2.

If you have a disposable e-mail address and you live in Seattle, I urge you to fill out this form. Atlas Shrugged, Part 1 was a terrible movie but a fascinating moviegoing experience, and now, like the Twilight series, I feel like I have to see the whole awful experience to its conclusion. Even though Part 2 has an almost entirely different cast and crew as Part 1, I have to make an effort to finish this job. (I live in fear of the possibility that, if Part 2 does as poorly as the first one, there will never be a part 3 to round out the series. I especially dread this because Part 3 will probably be entirely made up of John Galt's 90-page climactic speech, and I look forward to watching an audience pretend to enjoy that movie.) So let's demand Atlas Shrugged, Part 2 in Seattle. Just because you fill out the form doesn't mean you have to go to the movie. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
