"Slightly Dangerous"

Posted by on Mon, Jul 30, 2012 at 2:56 PM

We have talked about my housemate Kyle before. He's a prankster, artist, and Gizmo torturer. I found him in the backyard last night with a chop saw building an oversized Jenga set:

It will stand about six feet tall, and Kyle warns that playing the game will be "slightly dangerous."

Meh. I've seen bigger. :) Seriously, go to Burning Man or Burning Flipside. There's usually at least one oversized Jenga set somewhere.

if it's six feet normally, which means it could grow to 18 feet tall... so yeah, a bit dangerous (especially if drunk)

Kyle has been to Burning Man a couple times, fyi.

I'd much prefer it to be made of human meat. Or cremains... Which is a great word, fyi.

Maybe Kyle could help Erin (TSARY) with her newly aquired need to respond to her birthday prank.

There was a bigger one last year in Georgetown. It required a ladder.

I admit that I'd play the shit out of that Jenga.

What's with all this "bigger" talk? Giant Jenga is fucking awesome. Like some, ahem, other things, size is kind of meaningless as long as it's fun to play with.

The proportions seem a bit off - should they be longer?

@7 No. They should be made of glowing red-hot steel, and handled with a single industrial-strength oven mit. So as to not cheat with a second hand. Oh, and for a bit more danger.

Those look awfully short for being Jenga planks.
