Don't Touch My Wife, Bro: A Seattle police officer's professional conduct is being investigated after he tangled with a suspect on Monday night. The officer "made brief physical contact" with a handcuffed suspect being detained on the SCCC campus, according to police reports, because the suspect had allegedly punched the officer's wife (who, confusingly, is also a cop). According to Capitol Hill Seattle blog, the female officer was treated for minor head injuries at a local hospital.

Six-Story Development Proposed Near Beacon Hill Light Rail: Developers are planning to construct a 65-foot tall, six-story residential building with 47 residential units, underground parking, and street-level retail on the southeast corner of the Beacon Hill Station block, according to a recent Master Use Permit filed with the city. Given that less than a block away, neighbors fought El Centro de La Raza's own 65-foot upzone for years, it'll be interesting to see how frothy neighbors get.

Street-side Miniature Library Arrives in Ballard: My Ballard reports that a new lending library has popped up on the street. A wood and glass hutch stands outside a residence near the corner of 13th and 77th with a sign that reads "Neighborhood Library, Take a Book." There's a ledger on the bookshelf for patrons to record what they took and what they bring back, as well as short book reviews!

Maybe The Coinstar Was Closed? The Rainier Valley Post reports that Monday, two armed men broke into a Brighton man's apartment and stole a container of loose change before fleeing. The suspects remain at large but on the bright side, the change jar was later recovered in a nearby lawn.
