Paul Ryan has served seven terms in the House of Representatives and he's running for an eighth. So naturally, he should be addressed as "Congressman Ryan" at the debate tonight, right? Nope. According to the in-depth rules the Romney team agreed to, Paul Ryan is to be addressed as "Mister Ryan:"

When Paul Ryan and Joe Biden take the debate stage tonight in Danville, Ky., the form of address the debate moderator is supposed to use with the VP's opponent is "mister" instead of "congressman," two sources confirmed to POLITICO....The sources did not spell out with precision why "mister" was preferable to "congressman," but it is almost certainly because of the low approval ratings overall of Congress. And under the terms of the agreement, each candidate gets to tell the moderator, Martha Raddatz, what they want to be called by way of an introduction.

So let me propose the first drinking game for tonight. If you're a beginning drinker, you should drink every time Joe Biden refers to Ryan as "Congressman Ryan" or "the congressman." If you're an advanced drinker (a.k.a. a drunk), you should also drink every time Ryan is called "Mister Ryan" by the moderator.
