Because Ending a Phone Call Is Exactly Like Rounding People Up into Death Camps

Posted by on Mon, Oct 22, 2012 at 10:34 AM

Last week, CNN achor Carol Costello ended a phone call with the AFA's Bryan Fisher after Fischer started to trot out thoroughly debunked "facts" about the risks of homosexuality. In response, Fischer summed up the event as "the gay Gestapo in action." In response to the response, Carol Costello delivered this:

Thank you, Towleroad.

We need a new mass murderer who outdoes Hitler so we can get some new names to call people. The entire Nazi meme is really old. I'd have thought we would use Stalin but for some reason it just wasn't marketed well enough to catch on.

@1: No, see... when we're talking about someone being harsh, we use Hitler. When we're talking about someone being compassionate (!?) that's when all the communism and socialism rhetoric gets pulled out.

I am annoyed that I watched that guy wanking it to his own martyrdom.

The Gay Gestapo: A great Halloween costume, just in time.

This video cuts off before she really lays into him. It sounded like she was winding up to do that, anyway, but now I won't know unless I go looking for more. Which, frankly, I don't need to do.

Anyway, it IS good to see some in the media stand up to the lies, but it would have been more satisfying for her to have debunked him while he was on the phone.

They really do get off on the martyrdom. Christians haven't really been "persecuted" in the West since Emperor Constantine's day - but SO MANY of these guys make it clear that those were "the good old days."

Good for CNN for immediately ending the interview when it was clear that the interviewee had nothing but repeatedly disproved lies upon which to base their arguments. If only the rest of the media would do this more often.

Bullshit. If she had challenged, debated and defeated him, bravo! But she deserves no points for hanging up like a pompous Hannity or O'Reilly. She took the chickenshit way out.
