I was in that crowd. I partied pretty hard down those blocks that night. Lots and lots and lots of hugs. Damnit.

Love this video. I've probably watched it 30 times in the last 4 years, every time I feel down about the direction of this country and its politics. This one too.

The only choice I have to make tonight is which party to go to. Showbox or Neumos? Damn I hate being undecided.

Shame he threw the loony left overboard as soon as he got elected and wisely governed from the middle.

Obama-McKenna 2012!

Ah, those heady days, before we realized we had voted for a rightwing, kill list maintaining, whistle blower prosecuting, medical marijuana raiding, drone warfare making, coal industry loving, austerity dreaming fiscal conservative.
Yep, ignorance really was bliss, wasn't it?

I really want to be there tonight. I am, however, in my mother-in-law's house as my wife's father died yesterday. They have always treated me just like blood family. I will raise a glass tonight to our love, love generally and to many, many newlyweds in Wa .

@7: You know PP, I imagine as you typed that comment your face looked exactly like a cat's ass.
No offense to cats.

To date, this was one of the best, most joyous, and generally awesome evenings of my life. So much love, so many hugs, so much dancing and jumping, and even a high-five from a cop while holding an open container of aged single malt (me! not him)!

I can't imagine anyone getting that stoked on Obama again. Gay marriage and pot though, that could be a party!

@12,

I will be getting that stoked if he wins again and I know many others who will be excited as hell that Romney's not going to be our President.

I enjoyed being in that party.

It was the first time many white Seattleites saw how diverse our city actually is.
