I was in that crowd. I partied pretty hard down those blocks that night. Lots and lots and lots of hugs. Damnit.

Love this video. I've probably watched it 30 times in the last 4 years, every time I feel down about the direction of this country and its politics. This one too.

I really want to be there tonight. I am, however, in my mother-in-law's house as my wife's father died yesterday. They have always treated me just like blood family. I will raise a glass tonight to our love, love generally and to many, many newlyweds in Wa .

To date, this was one of the best, most joyous, and generally awesome evenings of my life. So much love, so many hugs, so much dancing and jumping, and even a high-five from a cop while holding an open container of aged single malt (me! not him)!

I can't imagine anyone getting that stoked on Obama again. Gay marriage and pot though, that could be a party!
