The student club at the North Seattle Community College will be holding a Transgender Day of Remembrance event on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. We, the members of our school’s Feminist Alliance,
want to use this international day of action to promote awareness and provide information to students and faculty. We will be handing out flyers to our entire campus with statistics about discrimination in addition to producing an event with two guest speakers and two performances about gender and trans issues. We are also supporting local artists and showing artwork that discusses crossing gender lines.
