Of that group four African Americans, five Asian Americans, 10 Latinos and 24 women were sworn in, ultimately marking a shift in which white males no longer make up the majority of House Democrats.Out of the 233 seats held by the GOP, 209 are occupied by white males. It is what it is: the GOP is the white male party. Politics in America has come down to white males against the rest (the rest includes white males), the past against the future, the idea against the reality.
