The Images That Arrive in My Inbox

My favorite today is by a Seattle artist named Garric Simonsen, who has more work here.

Simonsen doesn't have any shows right now in Seattle, or any on the books. But he is showing now at the University of Wisconsin and will be showing soon at Wheaton College in Massachusetts.

Really? I find it a quite engaging. I love the mix of varying degrees of detail in the impressionism and the way the eye travels around in its discovery.

I like it too. The tree makes me giggle a little, in a good way. But mostly I like the combination of the gray details with the color washes.
