...has been relatively understated. Ramesh Ponnuru's response column for Bloomberg basically consists of a bunch of sarcastic "yeah right"s topped off with a "psssssh" at the end for good measure.

But just about everything else I've read from the usual conservative suspects can be summed up by this line from Paul Kengor, writing for National Review, who quotes extensively from President Obama's speech and then says:

In the hands of a conservative like Ronald Reagan, this would be just fine, a return to our Founding principles. Yet, in the hands of a radical-left “progressive” like Barack Obama, these are not the soothing words they appear to be on the surface.

Translation: "I'd love this speech if it came from a conservative, but fuck this guy. I'm gonna pretend he's got a secret agenda, instead." Which basically means that Republicans are just going to copy the script from Obama's first term for the next four years.
