Despite possibly one of the worst arena deals ever, the Glendale, Arizona city council voted 4-3 tonight to approve a modified contract that will keep the Phoenix Arizona Coyotes at Glendale's Jobing.com Arena. And that means Seattle will not get an NHL team. For now.

And Megan weeps.

A couple observations from watching this four-hour council meeting. First, ohmigod did Seattle negotiate a great arena deal compared to the travesty in Glendale. And second, our city council looks like the founding fathers compared to the jokers in Glendale. So yeah, we may not have hockey, but otherwise, we're doing pretty damn well.
