[Moved up because the deadline for event submissions is TODAY. If you get your event to us after today, we cannot put it in the fall arts guide.]

We still have weeks and weeks of summer left to enjoy here in Seattle, but The Stranger's arts staff is already hard at work on the fall issue of A&P, our arts and performance quarterly.

We work very hard on each issue of A&P, and one of the features that makes the magazine so essential is our array of comprehensive calendars. We put every event we can find in our visual art, music, theater, books/readings, food/dining, and film calendars. But we can't do that without your help.

Here's the thing: If you're putting on an event in the time period between September 11th and December 3rd of this year, you should send the particulars—date, time, location, what it's all about—to calendar@seattleaandp.com. Even if your event doesn't fall cleanly in one of those aforementioned categories, send it to us. Even if all the particulars of your event aren't hammered down yet, send it to us. If you're hosting an event in Seattle from September 11th through the beginning of December, we want to know about it. More importantly, we want to tell everyone else about it, in the pages of A&P and then in issues of The Stranger that will be published all autumn long. Send us your events, please.

When should you let us know about your event? The sooner, the better, obviously. The hard deadline for event submissions is August 1st, but the earlier you get your events to us, the more time we'll have to lovingly craft the calendar listing for your event. And that will make everyone happy. Send your fall events to calendar@seattleaandp.com so we can tell the world!
