Got a campaign mailer from my Seward Park neighbor Bruce Harrell the other day, and while it is pretty much the usual campaign mailer fare, I did find the rationale behind one claim to be a little odd. "We are raising our family in the Seward Park neighborhood," Harrell writes, "and understand the challenges facing youth such as affordable housing."

Harrell and his wife reportedly bought their 7,070-square-foot Seward Park house from disbarred attorney Bradley R. Marshall in 2011, paying $1.4 million. So I'm not really sure how this gives him street cred on the issue of affordable housing.

(On a tangential note, Harrell has long been rumored to split his time between Seattle and a Bellevue condo he and his wife own. At our SECB interview, we asked the candidates how long it's been since they slept a night in Bellevue. Harrell said: "Four years.")
