For our inaugural book club, we’ve selected one title from three of our favorite small presses. These books are available when you sign up for an APRIL Book Club Membership...Membership is $30, plus shipping costs for the three books, and becoming a member saves you a seat at our monthly meeting.
If you don't want to sign up for all three, the books are also available from local booksellers, and you can still attend the discussions. The first book is Matthew Simmons's collection of stories, Happy Rock, and the discussion will take place on October 6th at a to-be-announced location. I'm a big fan of Happy Rock, and I like talking about books with the people who run APRIL, so I can pretty much guarantee that this first book club will be an interesting time.
