Friends! The Depressed Cake Shop is coming to Seattle! It started in the UK and has spread across the world, with pop-ups in places like Scotland, Los Angeles, and London. The goal is this: Sell gray-colored cakes and cookies to raise awareness of and fight stigmas that often come with mental health issues, while raising money for mental health organizations, too. Proceeds from Seattle's Depressed Cake Shop will go to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

It happens Saturday, October 5th, from 10 am-4 pm at Sole Repair on Capitol Hill. Admission is free and there will be raffles, too! I'm going to bake some grey cupcakes (with anti-depressant sprinkles, even!), and a lot of other talented bakers will have treats for sale, too.
