Mars Hill Pastor Mark Driscoll's plagiarism scandal from last year is leaking over to this year. Warren Throckmorton at Patheos has discovered some striking similarities between Driscoll’s 2012 book Real Marriage and a book from 1986 by Lelan Ryken called Worldly Saints, along with several other texts. Here's one of Throckmorton's examples:

Real Marriage (p. 115):

Gregory of Nyssa (AD 335– 394) taught that Adam and Eve were created without sexual desire, and if the fall had not occurred, the race would have reproduced itself by some harmless mode of vegetation.

Worldly Saints (p. 41):

Bishop Gregory of Nyssa claimed that Adam and Eve had originally been created without sexual desire, and if the Fall had not occurred, the human race would have reproduced itself by some harmless mode of vegetation.

Some of the examples are almost identical. Others are not so much. But you should go read the whole piece and make up your own minds. I wonder if Driscoll will even deign to address these charges?
