By now you have already seen the upcoming, much-remarked-upon New York Times Magazine cover depicting, bizarrely, Hillary Rodham Clinton as moon/cancer patient "Planet Hillary."

Over on the Times' The 6th Floor Blog, there's a discussion of how the cover—by illustrator Jesse Lenz—came to be. They considered this version:
