Ted Cruz, Who Shut Down the Government, Says "I Don't Think We Should Ever Shut Down the Government"

1
Ted Cruz reminds me of Martin Sheen's character in The Dead Zone.
2
Clearly, Republicans realize they have so completely fucked up their responsibilities, that there is a full court press to rewrite their fuck up by the elections. Obama should give them all the rope they need to finish hanging themselves.
3
Revisionist history at its finest.

I'd love to have had him actually challenge what Cruz said, rather than just laughing. Reject the premise of his question "should we just raise the debt ceiling", point out that that's a tested question, and ask a more realistic question.
5
Stupid foreigner.
6
Now that is smarmy.
7
Yes, Ted, it was the President who shut down the government. Because Democrats hate the government, and Republicans love the government. I think it's great when smart people get so smart that they make complete assholes out of themselves.
8
In other news, the NSA surveillance doesn't prevent terrorist attacks, trickle-down economics doesn't work, and the Bush presidency was one stupid, easily-preventable fuck-up after another.
9
the budget deficit is plummeting, but let's not mention that.

now the problem is being honest about the debt.
10
Clearly, the man aced Selling Snake Oil 101 and 102, and is headed for the MFA program.

Schieffer looks like the cat who swallowed the proverbial canary, abeit a slightly rancid, very sinewy canary.

Whereas Cruz looks like a sad trombone "WAH-Wah-wah-waaaah!" sound personified.

Bob Schieffer being one of the more conservative non-fringe newscasters, that's comedy.

(Seriously, Schieffer's CBS Radio commentaries for the last decade have been only slightly to the left of Paul Harvey...and suddenly he's a liberal tool? Yeah, right.)
