Bret Fetzer has been writing and performing fairy tales in Seattle for as long I've lived here. Quirky, fearless, and deeply respectful of the form, Fetzer's fairy tales have delighted audiences at performance showcases and readings all over town, and were collected into two books published in the '90s. Now, Fetzer's got a full, fairy tale-based showStory & Song, prominently featuring music by Sari Breznau and Eric Padget—opening at Annex Theater, and if the amazing performance I saw Fetzer give at West of Lenin last fall is any indication, it should be sharp and squirmy and wonderful.
