Pascal Tessier could very well be the first openly gay Eagle Scout in the history of the Boy Scouts. Since the Boy Scouts voted to accept gay youth in their organization last year, this is perfectly okay now. But Tessier turns 18 in August, and at that point he'll be an adult. That means, since the Boy Scouts don't allow gay adults to be part of their organization, that Tessier might be banned from the Scouts entirely.

Will Tessier transform into a terrifying wolfman at midnight on his birthday? Does the Boy Scouts of America really believe that he'll go from a member in good standing to some kind of a child-molesting monster when he turns 18? This "compromise" that the Scouts made to accept gay kids but not gay adults is insulting, it's ignorant, and it's hypocritical. This simply can't stand.
