Dude! Walking on I-5 is not cool. At all. There's really nothing more I can say. pic.twitter.com/S1MMOTrt3d— WSDOT Traffic (@wsdot_traffic) March 21, 2014
I actually think this is cool. Why? Because we can predict what the reaction will be—a reaction, furthermore, that is the product of 100 years of dedicated social engineering: The walker is crazy and the drivers are sane. But if he is crazy, it is only at the almost negligible level of the moment, wheres as the drivers are caught up in a madness that extends from the urban all the way to the state of the planet. Also the image reminds us that pedestrians must share nearly all city roads with cars. They have nothing comparable to I-5. Nothing.
