Eight people are dead and rescuers are still looking for survivors of the Snohomish County mudslide, in wet and dangerous dirt that's "the consistency of quicksand." Governor Jay Inslee was at the scene on Sunday, and his office posted photos of a flight above the slide area. He also comforted families, thanked emergency workers, and issued an emergency proclamation (a first step in getting federal assistance).
