I finally took a minute to read this short blog post at Aquarium Drunkard, and now I'm having a desperate record nerd freakout for a copy of this Junior Wells 45, "Shake It Baby!"

Junior Wells is best know for blowin' harp—he actually replaced Little Walter in Muddy Waters' group—but his acclaim stems from his solo recordings, which includes now-forgotten killers like "Little By Little," "Come On In This House," and the '60s rock standard "Messin' With The Kid." All his sides were fantastic, but it was his Hoodoo Man Blues (Delmark) album which became his legacy; a LOT of folks consider Hoodoo Man Blues to be one of the best urban blues LPs ever recorded.
