We have two sides in this police report. One side is told by the owner of a chicken, and the other side is told by the owner of a dog. The owner of the chicken and the owner of the dog are neighbors, and the officer reporting is David Adams.

According to the owner of the chicken, his neighbor's dog continuously comes onto his property and chases his chicken. As a consequence, he is worried about his chicken's safety and may have "to resort to physical means of deterring or stopping the dog." Though the owner of the chicken admitted that he has threatened to shoot the dog if this problem persists, he said he would not use a firearm but a less lethal option to protect his animal.

According to the the owner of the dog, he has indeed been training his dog to stay on his property, but the dog is attracted to the chicken and so leaves the property now and then. On the night in question, however, the chicken owner was so upset about this business that he threatened to shoot the dog. This threat was loud, and upset the dog owner's daughter.

The dog owner also pointed out the chicken wanders onto his property from time and time. Officer Adams's recommendation? Erecting a fence or chaining the dog.
