Buckets of Blood at ACT: As part of its current production of Little Shop of Horrors (which Christopher Frizzelle loved), ACT Theatre is holding a Little Shop of Horrors Blood Drive. ("Feed me Seymour," wocka wocka!) It happens this Monday at ACT between noon and 6 pm. There will be cookies and the plant Audrey II will be available for photo ops. RSVPs are highly encouraged. Send 'em to mark.siano@acttheatre.org.

Clark Gregg to Visit Seattle Again: SIFF announced today that Clark Gregg—the charming actor who is literally the only good thing about the Agents of SHIELD TV show—is coming to town as a special guest of the festival. Gregg will be doing a Q&A in support of the film Trust Me, which he wrote and directed and stars in. Gregg came to SIFF last year as part of the opening night festivities for the Joss Whedon adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing. He can visit as often as he wants. We think he's swell.

Today in Linklater: Speaking of SIFF, a Stranger staffer attended a press screening of Richard Linklater's upcoming SIFF film Boyhood earlier today. Was it good? You'll have to read our upcoming SIFF Guide to find out. But in other Linklater news, the subject of Linklater's excellent Jack Black-starring true crime film Bernie has been released from prison...under the condition that he live in Richard Linklater's garage. What the fuck?

Mudede Right for Once: This afternoon, Stranger critic Charles Mudede received an email concerning his strong opinion of Cassandra Wilson (he claims that she is the best jazz singer in the US—if not the world):

Often I disagree with you, and sometimes I agree with you, but even then often think you're full of shit and/or right for the wrong reasons.

So I feel compelled to tell you that on the subject of Cassandra Wilson, you are 100% absolutely right in every possible respect.

Wilson, who can heard in the background of The Root's "Swept Away," performs tonight at the Triple Door.
