Tom Ojendyk of Seattle-based Dirty Knobby Records just announced that his label will be reissuing GAM’s 1978 LP Eiszeit in September or October, if all goes according to plan. (Does it ever in the micro-indie realm?) The record is currently being mastered from the original tapes by Portland audio engineer Timmy Stollenwerk for this first-ever vinyl release of Eiszeit. GAM—who flourished from 1973-1978—consisted of guitarist Günter Schickert, guitarist Axel Struck, and percussionist Michael Leske. This album should be a great addition to the collections of fans of spacey, fluidly jamming German rock in the vein of A.R. & Machines, Cosmic Jokers, and Ash Ra Tempel.

Here's a 2012 review of Eiszeit from chaotic soul's sound cloud.
