Kelly O: "Ever been to Austin, Texas? Weigh in on what's drunky, good times!"

Charles Mudede: "Earlier this year, I decided to teach a writing class at Hugo House this summer about literature concerning the origins of life. I have read a bunch of these books, and so the class will be a survey of these materials (most of which are next to my bed). To prepare for this class, this weekend begin reading all of the books I have by the great biologist and origins theorist Lynn Margulis. She was also Carl Sagan's first wife. She died not too long ago."

Jen Graves: "Tonight: I can’t plan that far ahead! Tomorrow, I’m going to watch an artist build something enormous that will open next Friday at Suyama Space. It involves 4,000 pounds of plaster and a wench system fashioned from a bicycle’s innards. Sunday I will appreciate the mothers and stepmothers and the ones who act like them but aren’t called them."

Paul Constant: "In addition to a lot of reading, I plan on hitting up the new Capitol Hill Goodwill store. I also might go see Neighbors, depending on how willing I am to watch Zac Efron in a movie."

Dave Segal: "I'll be spending way too much money on vinyl at the Big Dig record show Saturday at Vermillion. Later that night, I'll be DJing with Explorateur and Skyler Locatelli at the Comet Tavern; we'll be spinning psych-rock cuts and promoting the second annual Hypnotikon psych fest that happens at Triple Door November 14-15."

Bethany Jean Clement: "Tonight, I am very excited to be going to the Swedish Club to partake of their Bring Marcus Samuelsson to Seattle Dinner—they're trying to convince him to come to town on his Aquavit cookbook tour in the fall by cooking a bunch of his great-sounding modern Swedish recipes, and, of course, there will also be aquavit, all in the Club's extremely cool midcentury building on Lake Union. Tomorrow is TBD. Sunday is Mother's Day—if you're lucky enough to have a mom who's great and still on this planet, don't forget to call her or have her over for dinner (that's what I'm doing). Or take her to Mimosas with Mama!"
