Dan Savage: "I'm going to see the new Godzilla movie on the strength of Andrew O'Hehir's review at Salon and never mind that the New York Times and some guy named Paul Constant hated it. And Sunday I'm going to the Fremont Market in the hopes that this fucking clown is still available."
Brendan Kiley: "I’m seeing either three or four plays this weekend, depending on when I lose consciousness."
Kelly O: "If it doesn't rain, I'm going to go the 45th Annual Viking Fest in Poulsbo on Saturday or Sunday and challenge someone to a sword fight (Or maybe just eat some krumkake and watch the watch the lutefisk eating contest)."
Dave Segal: "I'm DJing at Vermillion Saturday night, spinning vinyl from the Soul Jazz label while DJ Explorateur plays wax from Finders Keepers Records. I'll also be working on liner notes about the ultra-obscure Canadian synth group IKO, for an album of theirs that's being reissued by Seattle's Medical Records this summer."
Charles Mudede: "I'm going to read The Amoeba in the Room: Lives of the Microbes by Nicholas P. Money. The books has beautiful jacket, and its writer is making an appearance at Town Hall next Wednesday, May 21."
Christopher Frizzelle: "I'm seeing Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at Seattle Rep. Can't. Wait."
Katie Allison: "I'm heading up to Bellingham to see a beloved mentor, meet my good friends' new baby, and enjoy the ridiculously tasty food and beer of Boundary Bay. Also going to try and squeeze in a walk at Whatcom Falls, an unbelievably beautiful nature park smack in the middle of the city. Why don't I still live there again?"
Ansel Herz: "Unless it rains, which it might, I expect to spend a lot of time in gunfire-free parks. Saturday is soccer day: I'm going to watch Arsenal attempt to end its trophy-less decade in the morning, then I'll cheer the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink stadium as they face the San Jose Jose Earthquakes in the evening. Why would you name your team after a natural disaster? We need to beat those guys."
Bethany Jean Clement: "I'm going to the expansion of the rainbow! And to drink some half-price wine at Artusi.
Jen Graves: "I’m saying goodbye Sandra Jackson-Dumont while weeping, saying hello to Matika Wilbur’s first museum exhibition of Project 562, and I may just check out Ian McMahon’s big wild new installation at Suyama Space, which opens tonight. Also, I’m going to drive all the way out to Roslyn to interview with Genius finalist Glenn Rudolph."
Anna Minard: "I’m gonna be talking to Mark Rahner on KIRO 97.3 FM about the minimum wage at around 2:30 tomorrow. Then I will get back to a hectic schedule of not doing anything."
Paul Constant: "SIFF! I'm going to go to a bunch of SIFF movies this weekend. I'm not sure which movies I'm going to at the moment, but I want to go see a whole lot. I know that The Fault in Our Stars is going to be a madhouse, but I might try to get in anyway. The Skeleton Twins won't be as crazy as the John Green adaptation, but I bet it'll be pretty packed. I'm also looking at Hard to Be a God, Fight Church, and Monsoon Shootout. Plus others. Basically, I'm going to spend the whole weekend in a movie theater. Good thing the weather is supposed to be terrible."
