As I mentioned in the Morning News, a busted expansion joint on I-5 shut down multiple lanes and brought highway traffic to a standstill. Now the city and state departments of transportation are saying that the repairs will take another hour, traffic is spilling onto the streets, and commute times all over the region are increasing at crazy rates.

Seriously, look at the map. (I'd embed that tweet, of course, but I'm still on a traffic-bound bus, which just took 20 minutes to drive 10 blocks, and phone-posting has limitations.)

If you can avoid getting into a car (or, sadly, even hopping on a bus) this morning, you should.
