Bethany Jean Clement: "On Wednesday, I'm going to the opening for Zachary Culler: Portraits—a show of giant watercolor portraits by one-third of SuttonBeresCuller. This Saturday, I'm going to spend all day in the dark (happily!) at On the Boards for the NW New Works Festival—I'm especially excited to see the new works of our own Mr. David Schmader, Genius Award winner Sarah Rudinoff, the great/bendy Rainbow Fletcher, and puppet-master Kyle Loven. And someone said that I very, super, DEFINITELY should've included RockCreek in my recommendations for Seattle's greatest seafood. Any opinions, anyone? Should I go there?"

David Schmader: "I am going to see the Brown Derby Series' performance of R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet at Re-bar, rehearsing for On the Board's NW New Works Festival, and continuing watching FX's Fargo, which is so fucking good I can hardly stand it."

Jen Graves: "I’m interviewing Rebecca Solnit at Town Hall on Thursday night and I’m pumped about it. Her new book is Men Explain Things to Me, a collection of essays including the title piece, which was first published on TomDispatch. In other news, First Thursday’s this week!"

Dave Segal: "Wednesday I'm going to hit up Revolver Bar to catch DJ sets by Dazzleshits and Xeroid. Friday night will be split between experimental California rock ensemble Gang Wizard at Black Lodge and the final edition of the avant-warped electronic-music monthly Bonkers! at Re-bar."

Anna Minard: "Celebrating the passage of the $15 minimum wage bill! Also going to whatever bill-signing ceremony the mayor holds, which is currently TBA, but we’ll put it on Slog when it’s scheduled. Then I am napping for the rest of the week, emerging only to discuss a little transportation and parks funding, and/or microhousing, and maybe a rezone—good god, is this my life now?"
