After four years and $134 million, South Park has a new drawbridge. It opens to traffic at 6 am this morning and is expected to carry 20,000 vehicles a day. At a pre-opening celebration yesterday, Seattle Congressman Jim McDermott praised Senator Patty Murray for securing federal support for the bridge and said this is what's called an earmark.
