The Washington state ferry Tacoma, heading from Seattle to Bainbridge Island, lost power while on a run and got stuck in the middle of Puget Sound Tuesday afternoon.
The ferry dropped anchor and is now being assisted by tugboats. Ferries to and from Bainbridge are currently on pause. Over 400 passengers and 138 vehicles are said to be on the ferry. Everyone is reportedly fine. Someone named Taylor Wilson is apparently on the ferry and is live-tweeting the experience. If the ferry to Bainbridge is part of your regular commute, it sounds like you might be in for some inconvenience:
When Seattle-Bainbridge Island service resumes, WSF says it will be a one-boat schedule. Ferry Sealth responded to help Tacoma.— Graham Johnson (@GrahamKIRO7) July 29, 2014
