We Got More Than a Month's Worth of Rain Wednesday Morning: In "some areas of Western Washington," King 5 News reports. "Some drainage systems werenât ready to handle the unusual amount of rainfall, causing minor flooding," which is what's happening in that photo. In other weather-related imagery: A tree fell in White Center, cutting off power to 4,000 City Light customers, according to KIRO, and a tree fell in Phinney Ridge, landing on a vehicle and cutting off power to one house.

AP Journalist and Four Others Dead After Bomb Explodes While Being Dismantled by a Bomb Squad: "An unexploded Israeli missile in Gaza went off as bomb experts were trying to defuse it, leaving five people dead, including an Italian Associated Press journalist, on the last day of a 72-hour truce," The Guardian reports.
