And now the bad news. Our favorite (and only) night dedicated to that peculiar fusion of Japanese and Korean tunes the kids are calling "JK POP!" soon shall be no more. (Sniff!) Here's a little memoriam by DJ Bishie, who created the night: "Yes, it's true. We've decided to box up our glow sticks, sparkly outfits, and video projectors. JK POP! has been happening for almost 3 years (!), and what started as a little dance party at a basement venue in Pioneer Square has become a fixture of Capitol Hill nightlife as one of the most diverse, welcoming dance nights in Seattle (still in a basement, though!)." But, why, god damn it, why?! "I'm working on a bunch of different music-related projects (with my Noddy bandmates)... I'd rather end now on a high note." And so farewell to JK POP!—get your big gay fanny out there to say good-bye. With DJs Bishie and Hojo. Barboza, 9 pm, free before 9:30/$4 after, 21+.
