• Late Friday night, in the window of a new Capitol Hill condo that rents 358-square-foot studio apartments for $1,380-$1,575, a large mysterious, penis appeared right at crotch level on one of the very stylish, expensive-champagne-swilling cardboard cutouts.

The fact that it appeared on the well-heeled woman cutout, versus the man, caused some speculation that this was the work of a queer prankster. But who knows. I walked by the penis on the walk to work this morning and it was still there. This is a close-up of just the penis itself taped to the window, with the cardboard cutouts themselves vaguely visible behind the glass.

• In music news, Berlin-based two-piece band King Khan & BBQ showed up for an in-studio at KEXP wearing black leotards with circles cut out for their man-nipples. This made DJ Troy Nelson very pleased, on-air. Later that night Khan & BBQ played to sweaty sold-out show at the Crocodile. After the show, a female fan was overheard telling Khan that he "had very droopy boobs," at which he just laughed. Also, people crowd-surfed. Including the drummer of local band Thunderpussy.

• Emily is traveling around California right now—which is why I'm doing the weekend review. The best-named business in the desert goes to Hard 'N Floppy Computers/Electronics.

• In Joshua Tree at 3 a.m., Emily met up with a woman whose job is shooting shirts with shotguns and selling them at upscale clothing stores. At one point, the woman (who had two googly eyes stuck on an elaborate bindi on her forehead, among other freak-flag-flying accessories) was so moved by the music being played from a phone speaker, she took off her top and rolled down a hill… just in time for the phone battery to die and the music to cut out. Another friend spent the next half hour picking thorns out of her.

• There was also a cactus wearing 3-D glasses because of course there was.
