• An anonymous street art protest continues (remember the "mystery penis" and "Be A Legend On CAPHILL" pieces?) This time a less phallic statement appeared on a new Capitol Hill development, addressing the seemingly progressing class war the Pike/Pine neighborhood experiences on the weekends.

• I personally miss No Touching Ground's remembrance of John T. Williams in that exact spot. I also miss the poster wall that used to be there, but that is gone-daddy-gone, never-ever to return.

• A weird, untrue rumor swirled over the weekend that Chop Suey had been purchased by Starbucks. Ugh. What if that rumor was true? Where will smaller-drawing, newer acts be able to play on Capitol Hill, if Chop Suey closes? Vermillion? Barboza? Cha Cha? Cairo? The Highline? Charlie Megira, on his very first US tour, wooed a small but enthralled crowd at the Highline on Friday night, with his eccentric brand of lo-fi Israeli rockabilly. It was awesome (and so is the Highline's vegan BLT sandwich, in my humble "I'm-not-even-a-vegetarian" opinion!)

• Oh, and jeez-louise, in non-music news, did you see Marshawn Lynch's wackadoo post-game locker room interview yesterday? It's pretty brilliant (in my humble "I'm-not-even-a-sports fan" opinion.) Troll those reporters, Lynch. "YEAH."

• Who saw Judas Priest play the Tacoma Dome on Saturday? Rob Halford is looking lean and mean. Hoo wee, look at that goatee!

Emily Nokes is still in foreign lands, but returning next week. She sends a couple photos from Marrakesh, Morocco. Mmm, Kinder-Beuno...

• This adorable tag, "FAK POLICE" was written on the side of the Bahia Palace in Marrakesh, Morocco (and took some balls, if you ask me, considering the police carry very big "fakking" guns in these parts.)

• There are many, many cats who run the streets of Marrakesh, but none as sweet as Scampers, the trash kitten I found ripping up a newspaper. I contemplated giving him a bath and taking him home in my purse for waaayyy longer than I should have. [Sob]

• One flavor I can safely say I have never given a care about is hazelnut. I mean, hazelnuts themselves are great, but mixed with tons of sugar and/or chocolate? I always thought Nutella was kind of obnoxious. Until now. Sweetened hazelnut goo is all I think about, as it seems to be the candy staple of Europe and the main component of all Kinder-brand treats. The beige ice cream in this photo is Kinder-Beuno flavored and is extremely beuno.
