This morning, Anheuser-Busch, the US subsidiary of global brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev, announced that it is acquiring Seattle's Elysian Brewing Company.
The sale includes Elysian's brewing facility in Georgetown, as well as its four brewpubs throughout the city: Capitol Hill, Tangletown, Pioneer Square, and downtown's Elysian Bar.
Capitol Hill Seattle has the scoop here. Washington Beer Blog confirms with Elysian's co-owner and brewmaster Dick Cantwell, who says that he is focusing on "“the opportunities it provides for our sales brand and our folks — education, experience, expansion.”
