Remember Cliven Bundy, that anti-American tax-dodger who conservatives held up as a hero for some reason until he turned out to be as racist as the day is long? Looks like his son got into some trouble with the police in Utah on Tuesday, according to the Huffington Post. Sheriff's deputies were serving Ryan Bundy an arrest warrant when all hell allegedly broke loose: "Bundy physically and verbally resisted the deputies, who eventually subdued him and booked him into county jail on the warrant for interfering with an officer and the additional charge of resisting arrest, the statement said." Conservatives often try to excuse the Michael Brown and Eric Garner killings by saying they were resisting arrest or provoking the police, as though that makes the deaths understandable. But if Ryan Bundy actually "physically and verbally resisted the deputies" like the statement says, he's a perfect example of white privilege, because Ryan Bundy is still alive and, based on his mugshot photo, he was not beaten up or choked for it. Could you imagine the uproar we'd be seeing on far-right conservative sites if police shot and killed Ryan Bundy?
