Solomon Georgio, ready to storm late-night.
  • Fedora el Morro
  • Solomon Georgio, ready to woo Conan and the nation.

Once upon a time, Solomon Georgio was the Seattle-based comedian so hilarious he twice took top honors at the Stranger Gong Show, so insightful The Stranger commissioned him to write numerous essays, and so fucking good that he soon enough ditched Seattle for the professional comedy hub of Los Angeles.

And tonight, Solomon Georgio makes his late-night TV debut performing his stand-up on Conan.

I'll never forget the first time I saw Georgio perform, explicitly presenting himself onstage as an Ethiopian-born male homosexual, then proceeding to tell jokes that surprised, challenged, and delighted the whole crowd. I cannot wait to see him work his magic on TV. Tune in to the Conan show tonight at 11 p.m. on TBS, and check back here tomorrow for a post-show Q&A with the artist.
