Two down, fifteen to go.
The New York Times reports that Scott Walker has decided to end his campaign. Those close to the candidate say he had to shut it down for one reason: money. He hasn't raised enough.
Walker billed himself as a fighter, someone who could go up against liberals and win, just like he won Wisconsin. Of course, Walker only won in Wisconsin because he employed "the Southern Strategy." But Trump's overt xenophobia and racism sucked all the air out of Walker's coded xenophobia and racism. He performed poorly in both GOP debates. He slipped in the polls and kept slipping. And not even the dream of all that Koch money could keep his hopes alive.
In memoriam: the saddest, best song by the real Scott Walker.
