At least four people have been injured, according to a police scanner, and the area has not been secured. Police are asking media to stay away from the scene.

UPDATE, 12:48 p.m.: Three officers have been injured.
UPDATE #2, 1:35 p.m.: Three hours after this incident started and police have still not apprehended the shooter. According to Twitter, officers are still "encountering gunfire."
UPDATE #3, 5:42 p.m.: The suspect is now in custody. Police are saying 11 people, five of them police officers, have been transported to the hospital. Officials are not saying what the status of those individuals is or whether there have been any fatalities.
UPDATE #4: 7:19 p.m.: News reports say one officer and two civilians were killed.
